Disaster Month! =(
This month has truly been a disaster. About one month ago, we were well on our way towards finishing our home makeover so we could list it, hopefully sell soon, and move back to where our daughters live. My daughter is who concerns me the most. She is a brain tumor survivor, and has been unable to get a job, and does not have medical insurance. She is supposed to get an MRI every year to check and make sure her brain tumor does not recur, but because of not having insurance and not being able to work, she has done without for FOUR YEARS. I am very concerned that the tumor will come back, and the surgery for it is not an easy thing to get through.
Anyway, as I said, we were wrapping up our plan to finish the house and sell it when we got hit with a few different financial disasters in one month's time. Our plumbing broke down, our car broke down, and our *cat* broke down. Yes, our cat! She is 15 - we got her for my daughter when she was only 10 and had to have her first brain tumor surgery, so yes, we are quite attached to her. She had begun to lose her sight about 2 months ago, and is now completely blind, and I needed to find out what was wrong. She is now on medication for high blood pressure, which caused her blindness.
All in all, we had to spend the extra $1,000 we had needed to finish the home. Now, it is put on the back burner while we try to figure out a way to scrape the extra funds together.
We would appreciate any donation...every little bit helps. Please help me be with my brain tumor-survivor daughter so I can help her get her life and health on track.
